Welcome to the newest installment of my blog which we will call What's Up, where I will share with you what is up with me, my current favorites, new things I have learned/discovered, and just about everything I want to share to you from a certain month. Okay, so, shall we start with the month of July?
Life Updates: Early days of July passed by so quickly for me, in July we got back in Manila from our failed attempt move. School year 2018-2019 starts for students, unemployment days start for me. I have been obsessed with watching korean dramas but haven't finished the last few episodes of the 2 out of 4 kdramas I watched. Started new webtoons! Learned how to make empanadas! Which is really good by the way, wish I could it eat everyday without having to make it myself, because I kid you not when I say it made my hand and arms hurt from all that mixing and kneading. I learned how to read Russian and the German alphabet. Made my second sale in Redbubble after exactly a year! Drew more designs for my Redbubble account. Ate hashbrown for the first time! Tried ink painting! Oh, I also bleached and dyed my hair purple! But it's all orange and brassy now. Finally got the copy of my Philsat COE. Ordered a few items online. I and my friend attempt to get employed. Lastly, filmed my very first sit-down makeup youtube video ever! I have been wanting to do that for the longest time and now that I did it's like a no big deal! It's fun to do and although I don't have the proper equipments with me I guess it turned out pretty decent. I think that's all for me. It's a little out of order but that's my July. If you haven't watched it, gurl or boy, what are you doing in you life?!! Which I would say to my 2018 self if I still haven't watched it because it's freaking good! I'm in love with Jang Jae Yeol aka Jo In Sung!!!! Isn't he the most beautiful boy out there?!! And the chemistry with Gong Hyo Jin is unequalled! The show taught and informed me so much about mental health and love. Not only it raised how common mental illness is also dare the audience to pay attention to their own mental state. The ultimate message of the show is that mental illness cannot be cured by doctors but by the person suffering him/herself. Which is very true. It's our own mind and body and no one else can dictate us what to think or what to do with it other than ourselves. That's how powerful we are! And that power to control ourselves is enough for us to be our own refuge in times where no one understands us. I know that mental health issue is much more deeper than that and that it varies from person to person. That's why it's a no laughing matter that can be brush off casually. Another thing I've learned while watching the show is the Amytal Sodium, which is said to be the "truth serum" where any person who is injected by the drug could not resist the urge to tell the truth. I watched on youtube a few amytal interviews and it's really interesting that they couldn't remember the confessions they have made. I wonder what truth I would tell if I were to be injected by it. Anyways, if you haven't watched the show, go watch it! It has a little plot twist where if you pay close attention to, you'll be able to recognize as soon as you watch it! That's about for this month! Hope you like it and see you in my next one!
